#04 ON-GRID SHIFTING
This server uses a similar strategy as the adaptive cluster but instead of a cluster it shifts in between two servers:
- An always on low-powered raspberry pi zero running a barebones application and control instructions.
- A regular server (in this case a HPE MicroServer Gen 10 Plus) running a full-scale application. This server is turn on and off by the Raspberry Pi using the solar power data as in the adaptive cluster. This can be performed either using the a managable switch as in the cluster and setting up the server for Wake on LAN, or using a controllable smart plug like a Shelly.
Both servers share the same IP with priorities so if available traffic is directed to the full-scale server.
