#02 OFF-GRID POWERBANK

An even simpler off-grid setup can be created using a powerbank with integrated solar power manager and a solar panel. The prototype server uses a Waveshare 10Ah Li-Po battery together with a 10W solar panel.

With this setup a small server using a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 can be run as in the offgrid microserver, but the setup is not enough during the Swedish winter and the downtime may be too severe for regular website applications. It may work in lower latitudes or for applications that are required only during the summer half of the year (for instance outdoor sensing).
